lol ppl on reddit and tumblr find musicians and try to turn them into icons for their movements
Yeah man, not on the Kanye fan forum
There's definitely a lot of identity disguising politics in America. I honestly didn't know people politicized Frank at all.
Honestly though, he's an artisan. That's a less exploitative way to make a living when we're comparing him to other people in his tax bracket. Anybody doing fashion is sourcing their s*** from asia, and we're all rocking s*** made there anyway whether we pay $10 for it or $300.
Sure.. I don’t get into politicizing artists or none of that s***..
Their opinions on s*** is their business. Leads to cancelling artists you love based on differences of opinion on s*** none of us really control anyway
The threads coming from the discussion from people who were angry about him doing a luxury jewelry brand
The same OP was fine with him doing merch sales if he actually delivered on them. Or doing music. He was just mad Frank turned his back to get a bigger bag that he wasn't the audience for.
If anything, that thread is a consumer complaint lol
The way the violin swells into that synth organ decrescendo thing around the :55 mark on lens makes such good use of detailed sound design
Litteraly not possible that a capitalist could make this.

See my above post.
tl;dr OP was an unhappy consumer

I see that
I think a lot of people just read it as expecting Frank to be entirely moral business wise - and that expectation of people not being exploitative at all is kinda an anti-capitalist/consumerism sentiment (people are expecting Frank to be in some way above what the system is actually like)
wishful thinking from fans who want him to be more relatable than he really is
Blonde is one of the greatest albums I've ever heard and I'm so thankful it exists but Frank Ocean is still a rich celebrity, and if you really listen to some of his lyrics it shouldn't come as a surprise
Ppl need to stop putting artists on a pedestal
For real and it's been known Franks politics are trash lmao
Niggas got so emotionally attached to his music they started living vicariously through him

Everybody seems on the same page about Frank f***ing his fans over with his merch scams. Frank is doing the same s*** every noteworthy artist is doing. Music is just a launchpad into various business pursuits for them. They all want to be Steve Jobs and Kanye or whatever.
been copying lukas fit with the wide shoulder nylon jacket and some loose pants for the past 5 years and i aint even realize
Whos lukas
For real and it's been known Franks politics are trash lmao
Generally interested how so? I didn’t care much about his politics but I’m interested to know the background
Luka Sabbat
Thought it was that old Lucas from Odd future, they throwed him in the past

Around the last mid term he was making a lot of out of touch and stupid comments can't remember them exactly tho
So, how should we go about implementing universal healthcare and increased labour rights in America?

Oh word
He’s definitely given me new wave Democrat vibes sometimes lol
