    BRO WHAT

You think sample production even on its most basic level is easy?

Most niggas dont even know how to catch the end of a loop let alone catching it perfectly (especially if they never had experience doing it), and its more than just looping random s*** you have to find pockets that are actually rappable on, & he does more than "just looping" anyways, most the time

Thats just disrespectful n downplaying like hella on the skill it involves in general lol

And ALC DOES HIS OWN DRUMS 90 PERCENT OF THE TIME

catching the end of a loop is WAY easier than u r making it out to be okay

    sampling is not that hard

if ur not getting creative, mixing samples n chopping s*** up, then literally the only actually challenging aspect is the crate digging.

now i agree, alchemist is good at crate digging. but i dont think just being good at crate digging is enough to put u in top 5 contention when there's guys who can blow u out of the water w stuff made completely from scratch

His beats on Rare Chandeliers are amongst top tier in his field & most of them are more in depth then just loops, plus he does his own drums.

You also have to find the tempo of the sample which imo is the hardest part.

And i disagree, ive seen niggas on youtube that were challenged to make beats "the old way" from mass appeal n s*** n they fumble hard.

But yeah i disagree, but even then most his s*** is beyond only loops anyways.

9th wonder said if he finds a record he literally pulls off every sample possible before someone else gets to it

yeah and he does this because he knows that the only truly difficult part of sampling is finding the samples, not actually flipping the samples. if any other producer gets to those samples before he does he won't be able to make something that stands apart from the other guy's beat. because flipping samples isn't as nuanced or challenging as mfs make it out to be

  • Alchemist a top 20-30 producer...it's gotta be crack, meth, or d*** being smoked.

fl studio literally makes chords for u and once u have chords you can step sequence a melody

you can make an entire beat without touching your keyboard once

Most them niggas are still using MPCs to this day

All my beats i make are legitimately from scratch lol dont play with my music incline ability, but im not gonna downplay one technique to big up another

Getting a perfect loop or knowing what section is good to be rapped or how to manipulate it is something most dont auto know

Theres a thing in modern FL AI that literally creates "music correct" chords based off whatever ur playing too lol.

Its dope n helpful for more advance producers, but in general anyone can make at least a basic beat now with that.

    again what is ur point

do u guys think im saying anyone who makes their s*** w vsts is better than anyone who uses samples

dilla and nujabes are in my top 5 all time 🤷‍♂️

u can be an extremely skilled sample based producer the same way u can be an extremely skilled vst producer.

im saying alc doesn't have anything that's impressed me the same way dilla or nujabes have
