Also stupid question (I'm not American so don't crucify me), but why is the FBI involved in this and not just state police?
Is it because it involves multiple states?
US Marshall’s, State PD and even local PD are useless and corrupt af
FBI >
Arrest the parents too they're clearly in on this
What can you arrest them for with proof ?
It is. It's subtle, but there's a reason this story is being pushed. I don't know what it is yet, though.
because it turns into s*** like this then is forgotten about in 3 days

yeah, cross-state crimes fall under federal jurisdiction
I don't want to seem unempathetic, but damn is it weird how much attention/energy it gets when a blonde white woman dies.
God forgive me for these thoughts.
RIP SANDRA BLAND
I mean it's perfectly obvious. Not the same scenario by any means, but Breonna Taylor immediately comes to mind. She was executed in her own home by a police officer and I still saw people calling her an ape on Twitter.
I think part of it - and this is obviously compounded by the fact that she was somewhat of a public figure - is that there are so many high quality pictures of Gabby that outlets dug up to use. 99% of news coverage used the same grainy pic of Breonna with flowers. It shows how much more willing outlets are to show a white woman rather than a black woman in coverage of a crime, but it also goes to show how much people are parasocially willing to attach to a white woman because she "looks so sweet" and blends in with their favorite influencers, many of whom are also white.
I don't think it's unempathetic at all. There's never a right time to make these points, but it's crucial that we keep on top of manufactured bias in where we direct our focus. We can mourn Gabby and call for her justice while also keeping that energy for missing and murdered black women.
I mean yeah, in terms of statistics, proportionally, there are more white people who tend to be reported missing, and the #2 statistic is usually black people.
In terms of representation and bias in the media, white peoples' cases are shown much more and given more attention then other peoples. It's also usually implied that it was their fault, when they do get covered. Usually, their (black people and other POC) past gets brought up, like a troubled past in their youth or ex-spousal issues.

Imagine going to reddit just to find comments to be triggered at. Couldn't be me.
This story is nuts man, he probably killed her right? No accidental death here... and where tf did he run to?
Imagine you die and go viral and everyone just like "they only care about her death because she white "

He was lawyered up as soon as he got home and is now missing. Of course he did.
Open shut case lol
God knows what sort of secret and demon lay in these parks and deserts
So many unsolved cases waiting to be dug up
the officer wanted to separate them regardless what do you think an officer can do when someone wants to stay with the person? Do you really think a full arrest would happen when again she didn't want to press any charges and isn't the one who called the police? Some of y'all dont really understand how domestic violence works. Again I am all defund the police to give more to the community and police aren't always needed, but you cant be both anti police and demand they do more in personal matters of this degree. They don't really have a reason to hold her or him without someone filing charges.
How you got Law in your name and don't know the law? I only dislike this because it diverts attention / blame from the actual culprit who committed an act of violence and abuse.

its hard to just compare missing persons cases when this one specifically is getting coverage due to boyfriend suspect in the middle of nowhere. Most people in this thread including myself cant even name another white person missing case this year that got this much coverage. If someone just goes missing drunk, partying or no trace it doesn't get coverage cause there is nothing really to talk about besides sending condolescences or flyers
you don't realize how weird this post is
Who knows, weird is ambiguous, but may you shine light on what you mean.
Bruh started with “ imagine killing your girlfriend “ I never would but if you kill your girlfriend you got bigger problems going on than “ what if Twitter hears about this “
It's moreso the fact that it's easier to get away with a small local case than one with national media attention.

YOU ARE UNDER INVESTIGATION
My question is were they vaccinated
You joke but when he tries to say "she died of corona or the vaccine in front of me I fled because I had rough s***with her the day before with choking involved"
His lawyer like "we got this bro "
