In short lives aren't memes they are real humans. A lot of people are saying "why just focus on this white girl" yet if I was to ask them someone gone missing recently we should focus on they go blank. Like Vanessa Guillen last year when we did give focus that military base still open and the suspect killed himself. What are we supposed to give focus on? for them to do an internal investigation again? Even when they do catch this man and he has a trial if he didn't already kill himself him getting the death penalty or prison isnt going to change that Gabby dead. We got to try to get to the root rather than the same old cycle

we got to get better at how we handle missing persons,domestic violence, violence by police, violence by military, rape against women. But a central part of that is often the men involved avoiding accountability and often having egotistical reasons for even getting violent. As long as we dont address these things there will be many Gabby and many victims of all races and no one has the empathetic capacity to be traumatized by everyone before getting numb

like I am not even bullshitting I have seen domestic violence, have women friends that deal with it and police really can't do much of anything if charges aren't pressed and victim says they are okay/ wants to stay with the person. Again I am not some pro police person but they asked them to stay separate for a night and set up the hotel room. I think some aren't grasping how quickly abusive relationships become like stockholm syndromne its in no way blaming the victim but its saying at a certain point friends, family, police, law, restraining orders can say "this isn't going to end well" and it doesnt end well

You’re right in the case of this phone call. I mean in general, how do you have the main suspect escape from his house while you have cops keeping watch.

His family only reported him missing on the Friday. He allegedly told them he was going for a hike and didn’t return home. They waited 3 days to report him missing.

They then showed up to the location he said he was camping at. Saw his car and decided to drive it home.

There’s two options:
He went there to kill himself or his family is helping him he hide and gave a fake location and the cops are wasting time searching it.

However, the writing was on the wall. We’ve seen other examples of missing women who get murdered by there husbands and the moment the husband is a person of interests they take them in for questioning and apply pressure.
