A filthy rich dork making "punk rap" by complaining about the fashion industry is just not what I want to listen to
of course you don’t like my favorite Kanye album
You can take whatever you want over it, I'm disagreeing with your description of it. I would personally take none of those albums over it, but that's just me. Maybe TMS on a good day
nigga said TMS on a good day TMS clears Yeezus’ prod without a sweat bro im sorry to say it

Album gives me these vibes
"Anti-System"

Are we purely talking about production here, or the albums as a whole. Because I think Yeezus is a better album as a whole
Nah he’s talking about the beat drop with the Metro tag
Honestly that drop doesn't hit as hard as I remember
youre the only power (power)
yooouuure the only power
oooh ooooh
ooh oooooh if young metro dont trust u imma shoot u
beautiful morning
Absolute classic
Its not like they're bad they just always took me out of the vibe that tracks 1-4, and then Waves through the end, put me in
So if we're talking about what album has better production (I still think it's TLOP) I'm gonna be nitpicking
2 each their own i guess
Kanye is a rich narcissistic religious a****** and when he's trying to portray himself as anything other than that, save for his mourning of the loss of his mother on 808s, he just sounds like he's full of s***, either when he's trying to be a cuddly dropout bear or some edgelord adult version of a Tumblr kid who just found out what EBM and Hood By Air was
Album gives me these vibes
"Anti-System"
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 would smash
how is this supposed to be a put down

The entire point of Yeezus is to demonstrate the wrongness of this take. Maybe there's some irony to that

i thought we meant solely prod, i wouldn’t be mad if someone said Yeezus was better as a whole tbh

mind elaborating? because ngl outside of say Black Skinhead and New Slaves the writing is either borderline satirical or just average on that project lol
New Slaves gotta be one of my favorite songs ever made, s*** is an industrial rap masterpiece
2 each their own i guess
I guess the way I interpreted the question is just focusing on beats alone as opposed to the finished song/with vocals added; I think Feedback and Freestyle 4 are pretty basic beats that are, in their finished form, much more interesting. (which is fine since the actual song is what is important).
by contrast with tracks 1-4 and 10-the end, I think the beats are much more grandiose/maximalist/epic-sounding, which works better for me
highlights is closer to that but I never liked the beat as much
anyway it's a great album, just nitpicking at the top really

I think Yeezus is about how narcissism and ego are used (poorly) to mask trauma. This is also why the Yeezus Tour is organized the way it is IMO.
I don't think this is some super secret hidden meaning, it's actually very obviously the subject matter of the emotional core of the album (Guilt Trip, HML, BOTL).
Also why IAAG ends with the breakdown / heavy breathing thing.

would you say WLR kind of fits this descriptor too?
i always kind of felt like it was strange that people called that project punk rap when Carti is sorta corporate/big-time
but i guess that would depend on what is even considered punk at this point

just bc a beat is minimal/simple doesn't mean it's any less good.
a beat is only as good as the final product. if the barebones nature of feedback let kanye rlly spazz on the track, then it means feedback is a good ass beat
