TLOP, but let's not forget that Kanye had Southside and Metro Boomin come in at the last minute to trim everything "futuristic" off the album. What we could've had
Nah we got feedback and FML
If birds was a Ye or Drake album it would’ve been the best project of their respected discography
TLOP. I'm going to get a lot of hate, I'm a fan of astro but it's probably his most generic, hit leaning album production wise
lol thats always been the dirty little secret of the album
Feedback, Highlights and Freestyle 4 really bog down the middle of the album
Freestyle 4 is yeezus level
F*** no Jesus Christ
2004-2007: Too soft
2008: Ye can't carry an album's worth of singing
2010: Best album
2013: Corporate punk stuff
2016: Second best album
2018: Paint by numbers Kanye
2019: Mid
2021: Cool
2022: Worst album he's ever made

Just say you started listening when Pablo came out
Just say you started listening when Pablo came out
Started listening when Dropout came out
Fell out of love with Kanye when the Nazi stuff happened
Not arguing about this, it's my personal tastes and I don't need to justify them to anyone. To each their own.
Astro production is good but honestly I think a lot of the reason why it gets overpraised is because of all the beat switches. Sicko Mode is brilliantly produced but honestly a lot of beats on the album that you just take out by themselves don’t sound that much different to what you’d hear on an Atlanta trap record.
TLOP is Kanye’s third best produced record of the 2010s but it’s still genuinely elite stuff
TLOP has some of the most exciting production of all time - astroworld doesn't come close

Honestly a ban worthy post
Bro said Hold my Liquor, Guilt Trip, Bound 2, On Sight is corporate punk
Get this clown outta here
Honestly a ban worthy post
Like I said, when Kanye came out as a Nazi and we learned that his history of Nazism stretched back into the early 2000s and his anti-semitism into the mid-90s if not earlier, I truly grew off Kanye tremendously. I don't care about him anymore and I find a lot of his older material insincere and cynical knowing that he was a fascist while making it. It's still sonically pleasing but emotionally hollow for me because he's lying about his views on stuff on every album just so he could become a household name. The "real" Kanye only begins to come out in 2008 and he's lost his edge since 2018.

Guilt Trip isn't exactly a highlight of the album, Bound 2 is a damn parody song, and On Sight is 100% corporate punk lmao
Holy My Liquor is awesome but one song ain't gonna make a favorite album of mine
If you like it, you like it. I don't. I'm entitled to my opinion and there's nothing you or anyone else can say or do to change my mind.

This is such a garbage take lmao
Most rappers are anti semitic or have racist/sexist views. Are you gonna denounce all of them as well?
You also realize the nature of hip hop since the 90s has been rooted in conservative belief right? There isn’t anything more conservative than the idea of coming from nothing and accumulating your own wealth without anyone’s help. Calling Kanye’s older material insincere when he still echoes all those same sentiments to this day just means you never truly listened to that music or you placed your own agenda onto his words.
