Daytona, as soon as the beat dropped on IYKYK I realised this was gonna be special from any standpoint, not just an exciting collab between two of my favourite artists

Album is just second-to-second perfect with some all-time beats and Pusha in absolute top form

GKMC. I expected a classic debut but end up being in my personal top 20-30 rap albums of all-time (quality wise not accolades/impact/etc)

UDCMN and My Turn delivered the way I expected them too as well. PTSD as well.

I like SRS but I wouldn’t say it surpassed my expectations. I was expecting the beats to sound more like the ones he’d been making for other people leading up to the album and it was even left of that, which was cool until I heard a MIKE album, then I kind of went back to wishing it had been what I had been expecting it to be (which is basically Dump Gawd: Thebe Edition, which I still want). Totally a personal thing, though, and I still like SRS on its own terms. “ontheway!” is still one of my favorite songs ever.

Honestly I don’t mind it. I’m very used to it at this point. Also the potential interpretation that the two heads represent woods and Elucid (I can explain) is kinda f***in cool

I don’t know that it ever bothered me too much to begin with but I’m especially not bothered by it at this point. I get that it’s jarring (particularly for a hip-hop album) but it’s not like it isn’t an animal that’s butchered for food the world over. I know no animals should be getting their heads cut off for any reason but it’s also not two severed Golden Retriever heads or something.
