We live in a day and age (in the mainstream at least) where most rappers are friendly and willing to collab with one another. I think in some ways, this has created a lack of competition and a lack of desire for artists to push themselves to release the best projects or songs possible as many seem to fall into the good/mediocre range. But what often gets overlooked is the associates of these artists behind the scenes who could challenge these artists to try and improve their songs (whether it be producers/engineers, close friends, management, other artists, etc.). The "Yes Men" who just gas anything and everything even though they may not like the music or have some constructive criticism. I think nowadays its harder than ever to tell who has a lot of people like this in their circle but who do you feel has the most amount of people in the circle that are passive and accepting (if not outright gassing bad music)?

Ye is an interesting one cause at a minimum recently there is that video of him and TI going back and forth behind the scenes with TI respectfully grilling him about the song they were making together at the time and his ideals at the time, at a minimum its someone who is challenging him behind the scenes
