There are many artists in the industry in the mainstream that are numbers and money chasing and it's lessening their artistry. For instance, Drake & The Weeknd both imo have a MBDTF tier album in their respective bags.

The title CLB fell short with the music produced. The Weeknd is a great writer and can easily write an in depth narrative album with a mix of his Pop and Trilogy sound.

Kendrick is one of those artists where we don't have to worry about. He'll create something new w/each album.

I still feel like the love MBDTF gets is more due to everything surrounding the era, the bs drama in the media, and the imagery, the visuals like the iconic Red suit performance. don't get me wrong it's still a Great album, but people worship it because of more than the music. it might be a trash opinion, but to me it's the probably the least interesting album content wise that Kanye released during what most would call his "peak".
