2015-now is by far the worst era in hip hop

Which is sad bc it’s the most successful the genre has ever been. The quality of music and talent took a massive nose dive.

Put me onto Bling Bling Era songs and artists

2015-17 was phenomenal bro we got some of the best projects of the decade then and one of the most lively underground hiphop scenes ever

Well whenever the whole playboi carti, lil pump, cole Bennett s*** started happening is when hip hop went into the gutter

  • Nov 11, 2019

2010/11-2015 Probably the best era in the genre

  • Conja

I'll respectfully disagree, 2011-2014 was a way higher point than this, a lot of those rappers stuck around too more than 1-2 years

i guess its hard to classify bc a lot of the best things about the soundcloud era wouldnt exist without guys like wayne, thug, lil b, future, clams, keef, OF so im lowkey bunching them altogether. i just think a lot of the ideas that came from the soundcloud era were goat and the way trap production evolved and took over was crazy to watch

that was never hiphop's fault it was corporate labels f***ing with that stuff because it was cheap, popular, and easy to capitalize on

2016-2019 bc it’s the first time in hip hop history literally everyone from the street niggas to the conscious niggas to the suburban niggas are all on one wave of production bc people feel outdated without trap esque beats

09-13. Most of the rappers peaked too early, a lot of s*** aged terribly, and that was the first time rap lost the cultural aura it had

  • SoundCloud era was f***ing garbage

wow boomers really s***ting on the soundcloud era hate to see it

There's nothing that makes you a "boomer" about hating the SoundCloud era IMO. It was hands down the worst era of rap, everything was super formulatic, terrible lyrics, same sounding beats, and it gave us literal rappers named Lil Xan, Lil Pump, Smokepurrp.

Absolutely the worst era of rap.

  • Nov 11, 2019

    2011-2015 was the best era

Mumble Rap/Soundcloud Era was absolute trash

By bling era do you mean "ringtone rap"? Like the 2005-2009 rap era?

    the Bling Bling Era: (99-03)
    the Young Money Era (08-12)
    the “Mumble Rap”/Soundcloud Era (15-18)

bling bling era also had peak outkast and eminem, YM era had peak kanye so from another perspective they could be the goat eras
