Early 2000s like Nelly, TI, OutKast, Jay Z, Nas era is dope. I agree the late 2000s were garbage until 2010-2014/2015. That's when SC era took over and rap became really bad for a while. We're still sort of in that era right now too. Just waiting for all this emo trash to stop, and oversaturated childish memehead s*** to end too.

damn near parts of even 2013 were soundcloud eras beginning imo w projects like nostalgic 64 and dbr which dropped on soundcloud and helped set the stage for the sounds of the coming ~decade
