Radio shouldn’t matter
Unless someone is actively choosing to listen to something why should it count towards charts
Radio should count imo. Just a lot less.
Meh, not really. The most popular Spotify playlists are the ones created by Spotify that usually have tons of payola in them
You still have to choose to listen even with playlisting. If you don't listen for 30 seconds it doesn't count.
Capitalism uses race and racism as a tool to reinforce class division and keep a consistent and easily identifiable labor pool
As long as it exists it will continue to do this
Heres the assumed weighting btw
Radio 6K???
yup, Taylor is the only pop artist left that doesn't need playlisting/payola to thrive.

OMG lollll
my dad got XM, only good radio tbh
Real
When Drake’s station plays dancehall on Sundays
Radio 6K???
The amount of radio plays is divided by 6000 to get the points. Its weighted the least

Oh ok lol
Waves Of Blue having radio airplay all year and never charting proves its all just smoke and mirrors
Tried going on Apple Music to find the “white” genre but it isn’t showing up, I see “pop” tho
The worst is this negating the accomplishments of people who actually worked hard and are getting actual real engagement not just propped up masquerading an industry politics
Restaurants, bathrooms, elevators, and public transportation. These pop artists wouldn't make it without it 🤣🤣
Who is actually listening to Kid Laroi?
tbh i like his music but 90m streams in airplay is some fraudulent s***. the definition of what Cole said "getting their streams from machines". i understand the value of radio and that it's a transactional label thing but i would accept that more if it wasn't contributing to people's sales.

Probably stream farming too

Making this point with a 10 minute song in its first week driven by a sad vendetta against an actor
