But guns are legal to protect people against stuff like that so the same people making these laws should be good
Yea but who are you protecting when you pull a gun at someone and then saying "Give me that 20"
Sadly he did. But it’s still messed up. He Also got charged with 2 other robberies because he fit the description which was “tall, black and skinny” and the court told him if he took the extra charges and didn’t go to trial he would get 3 instead of 9 years. Like idk man it’s just messed up to me
Systemic racism
Eyes wide shut
N ppl outside the us have the audacity to speak on this s***
I just read a article about a women who stole over $500,000 from her company over a 10 year period and only got 18 months in jail while I have a cousin who robbed a pizza man for a pizza and $20 and got three years in prison with a plea but was looking at 9 years.
Am I tripping or is something actually wrong with or criminal justice sentencing and race?
(FYI the women was white, my cousin was a black male teenager.)
Would you rather have someone fraudulently use your bank account which the bank can just reverse, or get violently mugged by an unknown dude with a gun and roll the dice to see if caps you?
Trying the race card here is a disgrace to the real instances of racism by the police and the court system. If anything, your cuz is lucky he only got three years -- sometimes you jux the wrong nigga and never make it to the courtroom
Anybody denying this is dumb, like yeah there’s a lot of things that factor into time sentencing but anybody acting like race doesnt also affect these things is bugging
White Collar doesn't usually threaten well being of people, when it does it's usually a huge case. S*** I'm in accounting/finance there's various cases of people getting 10+ years
your cousin robbed somebody more directly affecting someone
Anybody denying this is dumb, like yeah there’s a lot of things that factor into time sentencing but anybody acting like race doesnt also affect these things is bugging
true but robbing anybody physically is always gonna be seen as worse unless white collar crime is so big it ruins lives
Sadly he did. But it’s still messed up. He Also got charged with 2 other robberies because he fit the description which was “tall, black and skinny” and the court told him if he took the extra charges and didn’t go to trial he would get 3 instead of 9 years. Like idk man it’s just messed up to me
Your cousin did armed robbery, no one’s gonna feel bad. Tell your cousin to stop being a bum ass and do better.

So he took the fall for 2 robberies he ain’t do for a shorter sentence?
Armed robbery is not a good look
Yea this a pretty obvious one. Justice system is f***ed up but your cousin a dumbass sorry to be blunt OP. Anytime u rob someone with a gun (especially for a f***ing pizza & $20 which is one of the dumbest things I’ve read in quite some time) you gonna do serious time.
I ain’t say it was smart. Definitely weird how much time he got imo tho
Yea but who are you protecting when you pull a gun at someone and then saying "Give me that 20"
Lol touché

Ard Imma call him and read him this comment rn
So he took the fall for 2 robberies he ain’t do for a shorter sentence?
Yeah they said he would miss court time if he just took the three charges. Each charge was 3 years a piece. So they told him even if you are just convicted to the one robbery you have to wait to go to Trial and then your 3 years will start after that, so in total he was looking at about 4 years. So he took the plea to start his time sooner.
The value of whatever material goods were at stake is pretty much completely irrelevant when you’re talking about a violent crime vs. a financial crime...
