The institution of white supremacy in america has been pushing the "black people vs. asians" narrative for decades and decades.

The whole thing with the "asians are the model minority" myth which picked up steam during the 60s civil rights movement was to pick a minority to discredit the concept of systemic racism to say "they did it, so you can do it too", also the fact that asians were going to be seen as intelligent and black people were seen as unintelligent by the white masses

The model minority myth harms everyone, it breaks solidarity with other groups and it reinforces white supremacy, and causes racial conflict, it also silences asian people to not speak up about their own issues

There are also other examples of this, such as the 1992 L.A riots where the National Guard/LAPD blocked off rich white neighborhoods such as Beverly Hills and pushed the unrest towards working-class Koreatown which forced a confrontation with both groups and the purpose was to further this "race war" narrative and that the "rooftop Koreans" were the strong model minority against the opposing force of "rioting and looting black people" (sound familiar?)

Then you should've said just that from the start:

"I think we should reserve judgment until this study is published"

Like, who is even “trying to make black people the face of Asian violence”.

Even if they were 100% disproportionately attacking asians, it would be completely shocking if they accounted for even 20% of incidents.

Even the hosts of this show can’t really cite anything other than “people on forums said”. It sounds like someone got into some twitter wars and is trying to make this a big thing.
