it's only popular because Tyler said it's his favourite album oat.

Lord Willin' is a way better example of their craft as producers

The aesthetic Pharrell introduced with NERD to the Hip Hop community is actually what’s groundbreaking tbh. Pharrell might literally be the first mainstream hipster in Hip Hop,I know some people like to call Puff that but I think Pharrell was really serious about bringing something new to Hip Hop.

TBH most of their music is trash. Their hits are f***ing HITS though. Like when they get one, they GET ONE. Also, Neptunes are just some of the greatest producers oat. It’s a weird thing with them. I don’t even quite understand it

Not hipster in the sense that we know the word, but Puff was considered as "out there" for being one of those early innovators for fusing hip-hop and R&B together so heavily and not in the new jack swing sense of the fusion.

Personally, I don't really know if I truly agree with that because they was rapping over soul and disco back from the 70s to 80s, but I guess he gets the credit because he brought it to big mainstream level.

  • Mar 12, 2022

it's not a universal classic it has some really good sonics and a really cool cover nothing else was really like it. lapdance a classic tho

Bruh niggas just love discrediting people

In Search Of… Is groundbreaking, there really wasn’t an album like it within the hip hop community before it and really gave a lot of black kids something to look at and feel accepted without being disrespectful to the community already at hand.

Like it’s ok not to like the album, its subjective and i can see how its not for everybody but its really lame as f*** to try and overly s*** on the album and its influence, especially on its 20th anniversary

Some of you people just enjoy spreading negativity, its a difference between having an opinion vs just disliking seeing people enjoy something

And this album really means a lot to me, this album gave me hope when I was getting evicted and failing high school to keep following my dreams and not to give up. Like this music real life be meaning a lot to niggas and people just wanna disrespect it just because

And people will be like its not that deep, but do we not love music? How is something you love not that deep

losers on the internet gotta put people down and big themselves up

Man seriously, like that s*** is just negative

There are plenty of albums that people love that I don’t really like but it doesn’t bother me to see people enjoy it because why would it? I get giving a constructive take on why an album isn’t for you, or even calling a new album everyone is talking about trash but s***ting on album 20 years later just because is some hater s***
