Except Cudi has no influence on Drake

Drake is a combination of Aaliyah, Jay Z, Ye, Joe Budden & Phonte

I can tell you got into rap in 2010s

808s is practically a Cudi/Ye collab so I'd say Cudi indirectly still has influence on Drake

In what aspect ? Drake is a R&B/Rapper hybrid an archetype that existed before 808s

Elements of his Neo R&B sound can be traced back to 90s r&b

Cudi has no impact or influence on Drake’s artistry

They were both making music back in 07

drake would never tweet about him for 7 hours straight begging for his attention. kanye's been seeking his approval since he became an alcoholic and dove off the deep end

You’re not wrong but it’s a faux narrative created by ppl who got into rap post 808s

Kanye has always been a inspiration for Drake that’s an undeniable fact

But his R&B/melodic side has been from Aaliyah and various 90s R&B acts

I’m glad we could have a civil discussion

drake has been BITING 2 specific uk artists since day 1. Ain't nothing to do with being influenced by Aaliyah.

I’m referring to his R&B/singing content

    It’s all from Aaliyah

Most of Drake’s lyrics are in the perspective of a woman

f*** I've just realized that even Chance The Rapper and his trash debut had a better catalog than Drake, wtf

Kendrick never had a dominant the same as Kanye. Change them to Eminem---> 50 cents --> Lil Wayne--->Drake

    FRITZD

I’ve never met anyone that fr goes back and listens to Drake albums like people do with Kanye and Kendrick

Drake's catalog is the most streamed and has been for the past 4 years. He was the #1 catalog artist in 2017 and 2018 and was #2 for 2019. He also pulls in the most recurrent streams of any rapper and charts the most albums weekly on the Billboard 200.

You don't need to know anyone who revisits Drake albums, the facts prove that people do.

Kendrick will probably end up with more classic albums than Kanye and Drake but he'll never be known for having a dominant run. He's never dominated a year, in just rap music or in music period. He drops a great album and dips.

You people need to stop this stupid idea that the Drake we have today is because of 808s & Heartbreak. 808s dropped late November, 2008 when most of So Far Gone was already done. Drake was making melodic music and singing way before 808s dropped.

Drake will end up with the greatest run and the greatest catalog in rap history. He already has one of the greatest catalogs (of both hits and loosies).
