no seriously, which drake songs would you say go beyond just a good song to an artistic song?
he has a few imo
Bruh, all music is art
There’s nothing artistic about doing a wardrobe change for every album as a gimmick while further and further delving away from what people liked initially about your music to make forever 21 pop ballads
You just sound so incredibly stupid because nothing in this post makes sense
Everytime I think I blocked all the CLB niggas theres a new one who appears
Glad you know you’re wrong love
Idk if I'm more surprised Drake has 44 nominations, or 44 nominations with only 4 wins. That's 1/11 chance
Grammys dont like drake cause he always disses them lol
Finally a good thread, actually a difficult question.
Commercial wise : Drake 100% because he has more broken records you didn’t even mentioned.
Artistically : begin of the decade definitely drake with nothing was the same & take care but if we compare after hours to drake his latest work .. then we have to admit he didn’t come close to that in terms of quality , cohesive , production and sound.

Not sure what you’re not following it’s p simple
Since we talking about artsy s*** lets not forget this dude Abel used to be as artsy fartsy as they got lol

Most black artists have few Grammys too. I know Janet got nominated for 10 awards in 1987 for Control, and only took home 1
Not sure what you’re not following it’s p simple
Idk if this is bait or not so I'm just going to opt out of this conversation lmao

1) you clearly havnt listend to his new album "forever 21 music" is such a lame ass take
2) "delving away from what people initally liked"
its called growth
3) and most importantly, why you so pressed bro?

Both ran the decade, commercially. Artistically is more of a debate. So who had the better 10 year run?
i think Drake did but the Weeknd is kinda in a different space. in terms of pop/R&B i would argue that he probably is the most popular male artist, similar to Drake in rap. Crazy to think that two of the biggest names in music are from Canada

I was being serious, I don’t know what makes one song more artistic than another, all I know is that Drake’s art is much better than The Weeknds.

and if you really wanna talk about gimmicks lets talk about drakes mob boss gimmick
Since we talking about artsy s*** lets not forget this dude Abel used to be as artsy fartsy as they got lol
