Yea I was the same way for years. That's apart of why I shouted out DJ Quik and Daz in my initial post. It kept Dre's talent in perspective and the songs he produced were still hard asf.

Kanye is one of my favorite artists, as a beat maker, he's B Class compared to his peers. He's respectfully not reachin Timbaland, Neptunes etc. 808s and Graduation is his best work as a 'solo' producer.

It’s hard because both are legends but both use ghost producers and writers. Between the two and not utilizing the same judging criteria, I would say Dr. Dre is the better producer - as he has been a part of more classic albums where he played a major role vs. Kanye who production claim outside of his own music is with mainly with one artist Jay Z. Overall Kanye is the better artists when comparing solo work and albums.
