Epiphany was as big in hip-hop/RnB as Graduation.
Yes Kanye has crossover appeal and that translates towards sales but T-Pain was one of the best during his run.
S*** ain’t even platinum bro
Drive slow is 100% Kanye.
On Power:
No ID Produced the drums, Mike Dean the guitar & other strings. Kanye most likely chose the sample. 10/10 beat & song tho.
DJ Yella touched boys in the hood though

please changed 'touched' lol
him and all his ghost producers
Ye has a massive team of producers, too. Both these guys are great CEO type producers

ye has confirmed solo credits though
dre had help as early as NWA days
Yea he probably was a mixer of some sort during the studio session.
I like Dre but once I found out he be lying in his liner notes everything became suspect
I love the records tho

Yea I was the same way for years. That's apart of why I shouted out DJ Quik and Daz in my initial post. It kept Dre's talent in perspective and the songs he produced were still hard asf.
Kanye is one of my favorite artists, as a beat maker, he's B Class compared to his peers. He's respectfully not reachin Timbaland, Neptunes etc. 808s and Graduation is his best work as a 'solo' producer.

that's fair
Neptunes is a duo of genius level multi-instrumentalists I'd place them more in Hall & Oates/Lennon McCartney territory tbh
timbo vs ye tho
In da club vs Gold digger doe ? that would decide it
not a fair matchup tbh
in da club is a straight banger
gold digger is built for radio

Be
i want to say kanye but i really wasn't around in Dre's prominence so maybe i would feel differently if i were older or better versed on him
It’s hard because both are legends but both use ghost producers and writers. Between the two and not utilizing the same judging criteria, I would say Dr. Dre is the better producer - as he has been a part of more classic albums where he played a major role vs. Kanye who production claim outside of his own music is with mainly with one artist Jay Z. Overall Kanye is the better artists when comparing solo work and albums.
