Again I have no problem with remixing. I have a problem with the marketing. U fools cannot read.
.....but remixing is marketing.
I have no problem if it’s organic. I have a problem when it’s a marketing strategy to convince us that a song is hot when it’s actually not a hot song.
Dawg who gives a s***? No one is buying music even when they like it anymore and these artist are in contracts made to take they money.
Stop hating on people hustle they not taking a Hot 100 hit from you
Why is remaking the song an issue? Especially if fans want it and in a an era where people especially on social media sites have made that a thing.
Slowed & Reverb, Acapella versions of songs and 'Chill Beat" versions of tracks almost get instantly made when a record comes out by fans.
This way artist can at least get the money made off these remixes I don't see the issue.
I was actually thinking a few days ago why artists don't just officially release slowed & reverbed, chopped & screwed versions of their albums. it's easy streams, easy money.
.....but remixing is marketing.
Man this is going over your head. By that argument literally everything an artist does is marketing. I’m talking about organic remixing vs manufactured remixing
People openly not knowing a single Polo G song was the nail in the coffin people are clueless on here lol
It makes sense in a way cause a lot of us were on KTT1 when we was like 18-21 and now most of us are on the latter half of our 20s.
but then instead of just embracing dust status, turn around and stan some of the most obscure soundcloud s*** while at the same time s***ting on every new rapper that's actually popping.
Two or three
for call me by your name, there were two, but one was an extended version that actually included a different breakdown and additional lyrics - it's the one that was in the music video

go outside and worry about some real s*** that matters =

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They’re missing out on free money literally lmfao
You can find _ versions of any song on YouTube, and there’s a real market for it, some people genuinely prefer the slowed n reverb versions and s*** like that

Only seen like 5 rappers do it

"literally everything an artist does is marketing"
Bandito didn't realize that he was getting close to the correct answer
Honestly what LNX doing is smart in the short term but in the long term it's just going to devalue the single discography if he keeps doing it.
Spotemgotem's song is just basically rappers remixing his s*** and him putting it out officially, so I don't get the comparison there.

Please explain what an organic remix is I need to hear this

Fam I’m not hating. I personally do not like any manufactured marketing. Thats my preference.
If my favourite artist did this I will feel the same.

it's when an artist he likes does it

i only have an issue with devaluing the discography if every version appears on the album. i don't need tracks 13-19 being different versions of a song.
Alternate title: The FAILING New York Times puts out hitpiece on two young rich niggas
I'm sick of seeing this attack on artist in the streaming era and tryna hold up this ideal of "legitimate sales" and what's respectable to do.
Y'all not buying music but getting angry at artist for using bundles and remixes to help supplement that lose in revenue and attention.
People want everything to be free but these folks got bills to pay and hype to keep up. If you want the gimmicks to stop boycott companies until they give more cuts to artist or boycott streaming services til they pay more.
Otherwise stop tryna police something that affects no one

now you podding

Lol an artist liking a song and choosing to remix it and putting it out. For example da baby remixing Spotemgotem track unofficially which then became official after.
LNX is literally pulling themes out of a hat to see if he can create a new version to increase streams.
