I’m not saying Khaled is a bad dude or anything I’m sure he’s great to be around and that’s why so many artists and producers respect him and work with him, but it’s not like there’s any creative through line or theme running in his albums that he’s coaching the artists to stick to or aim towards during recording. I’m sure he’s just bigging them up and making them feel comfortable so they can be in the right headspace to churn out hits lmao
He doesn’t care about making a cohesive body of work. You’re talking about themes and concepts on a rap compilation record
His albums are the industry all star game. It’s not about anything other than making the flashiest s*** possible. Pure fan service. Mix some R&B, some street singles, some real hip hop and commercial songs. That’s always been his formula.
