He is in the role of someone were supposed to trust and turn too for information, him lying early on in a deadly pandemic probably did more harm. People were going without masks thinking they were safe, if masks were just not available due to a shortage, people would have probably used more caution knowing the risk

It definitely did more harm. Using myself as an example, I did an indoor play with an audience in close proximity that wrapped on March 8th 2020. During and even moreso after that I delivered food and groceries for a f*** ton of people. Then I worked as a bartender (shortly after I was hired, the narrative changed to "yes, mask up"). It's a good thing I didn't contract COVID because there was a solid 7-8 week period where I could've been a SUPER spreader and that s*** was really f***ing unnecessary.

I really don't get the big annoyance around masks. Like yeah it's inconvenient sometimes but people act like it's akin to having a tazer on your nuts.
