They need to be looked at as just as big also. X dropped 2 commercial successful albums in the same year and Nelly dropped 2 on the same day. Both before and around the time 50 dropped his first album. Both had MASSIVE 5 year runs just as big as some of the greatest. Both had dozens of hit singles and multiple #1s

I feel Ike Wayne’s commercial peak is undercut for several reasons. Don’t forget he was moving a million a week in the middle of a recession

• A lot of his mixtape and leaked songs that were just as popular as his commercial ones aren’t counted within his numbers. S***, Dedication 3 charted on billboard despite being a free mixtape

• He didn’t have a huge co-sign from the start. Em had Dre, 50 had Em, Drake had Wayne. Wayne really grinded for that s***

Wayne peak was huge in the USA and Canada. Not so much outside of that.

50s is 2003-04

50 easily. Obviously drake has more longevity but in terms of peak 50 was unmatched

50's peak was bigger but shorter than Drake's.

Also let's not forget that Jimmy Iovine started to blackball 50 at one point and that made 50 stop caring about music.
