Ranked-choice and participation are gonna throw those numbers. Yang has a chance off name recognition alone

Wiley fumbled the f***ing bag because of her stupid identity politics she could've had the entire left coalesce under POLICY EDUCATION AND NOT IDENTITY POLITICS she f***ing blew it yo. why does she think that people in most need of progressive public funding have the time to parse apart why defund the police is a GOOD thing, and that more money back into the public sector will IMPROVE their quality of life? sick of these f***ing libs who make me cringe on conference calls every f***ing day I hate this stupid bullshit. fyi I reluctantly work for the Wiley campaign. time and time again the left undermines the humility and intelligence of vulnerable working class people who feel overwhelmed and politically homeless by the things most readily accessible to them on the news

i havent been following the race too closely but it seems like yang really shot himself in the foot a half dozen times in the last 6 months.

defund the police is a bad slogan and for some reason that is the hill the left has chosen to die on

I agree but the left is culturally in a deadlock to where this sort of visceral sloganeering is the only reason why people are talking about it. People really think its about to be a free for all in the streets lmfao. When I flesh it out for people who dont get it most are pretty quickly understanding of it, if not receptive and accepting

uses cultural cosmopolitanism to mask his violently grifting agenda to continue stripping money away from the public sector all to the aesthetic-based preferences of upper middle class/upper class. UBI is a scam to do away with social safety nets though it's circle jerked over by politically illiterate moderates and fintech bros

yeah I mean I understand the intent but when you have to explain the issue in detail to get your point across you already lost the messaging battle. I'm in nyc and a lot of the older dems I know are voting adams due to higher crime rates and the defund the police stuff pushing them towards more conservative candidates

Its too complex for me to dismiss the messaging as flat out "wrong". We shouldn't expect an ever exploited working class in favor of DTP to prioritize pragmatism AND we shouldn't blame an ever-exploited working class against DTP for forming their ideologies around the information/talking points most readily available to them. The "messaging battle" is of course a huge concern but rarely do I encounter someone who's unwilling to engage with arguments for DTP when they bring it up as a pressing issue of theirs

Both have brought us here for criminalizing poverty and encouraging gentrification respectively. DeBlasio's as responsible for benefitting the interests of corporate real estate.
