lots of 2010 lists beat this lol

u just naming random, mostly overrated radio records

So come up with a counter list if it's so easy to beat then.

And lol at this comment. A lot of those hits still get heavy play on urban radio and commercials on TV.

I wanted to do 10 because that way we could make the rule that you couldn't repeat artists

You have a point like if they were tryna use features or something as a loophole.

    10-15 for sure

  • Apr 9, 2021

Honestly 2010's is prob the weakest link.

But ktt is mostly young ones so who knows how it could go.

Nigga really said THESE songs were radio trash.

Like Lose Yourself and In Da Club ain't the most iconic rap songs OAT.

Like everybody and their mother wasn't freestyling to A Milli when it came out.

Like Frontin isn't a timeless tune.

This is a hard one but I'd have to say the 2000s, off the fact that era has so MANY classic and impactful hits.

see u just picked 20 hot radio tracks which isnt the route i would take

i would pick my personal favorite songs, not 20 crowd pleasers

    lose yourself? lol

Lol...dude. Do you even understand the purpose of a Verzuz?

It's not just about quality but also impact.

I know KTT likes to hate on Em but Lose Yourself is one of the most classic rap songs OAT. It's not even that radio friendly either lol.

But, if you wanna go that route and dismiss radio hits, Lil Wayne alone has at least 10 mixtape songs from the 2000's people know that could win against many 2010's album cuts.

  • Apr 9, 2021

2000s would have intl players anthem so 2000s wins

    I think even 20 is a lot

we could do it but make it more concise

the 10 best songs of the 90's all different artists vs the 10 best songs of the 2000's vs the best songs of the 10's

Meet in the middle at 15

I dont even know what you mean by your last comment. All the songs I posted had massive impact on people and the world irl lmao.

If you're trying to call me a "casual"(when I probably know way more hip hop than you), I only posted those songs because they had impact and are solid/timeless hits.

Maybe you and a few others here operate in a different dimension. But, irl, everyone loves those hits.

But, here's another list if mines seems too "casual" for you.

    1. Stan(Eminem)
    2. Many Men(50)
    3. The People(Common)
    4. Dough Is What I Got(Da Drought 3)
    5. International Player's Anthem(UGK)
    6. Dreams(Game)
    7. Harlem Streets(Camron)
    8. Flashing Lights(Kanye)
    9. Fancy Clown(Madvillain)
    10. X Gon Give It To Ya(DMX)
    11. B.O.B.(Outkast)
    12. Let's Get Blown(Snoop)
    13. Don't Cry(J Dilla)
    14. Luven Me(Nelly)
    15. Apollo Kids(Ghostface)
    16. U Don't Know(Jay-Z)
    17. Paris Tokyo(Lupe)
    18. Provider(NERD)
    19. JEEZY(Jeezy)
    20. Made You Look(Nas)

Still waiting for that list breh.

A Verzus to me, and I’m sure many others is about music that rings off and brings back good memories. It’s a nostalgia thing so obviously the earlier era will win here

Not if it takes place on KTT2 though.

Plenty of peeps here got into hip hop from 2008 and onward so there's not gonna be much of a nostalgic bias.

That's why I'm sticking up for the 2000's so much here, cause of all the capping lol.
