I'm just realizing the HBP film cut the amazing opening scene of the Minister of Magic meeting the U.K Prime Minister and instead showed Harry flirting with some random waitress. That scene was directly addressing components of this debate

Maybe compared to what the film version showed it'd be a better comparison, but the first chapter of Half Blood Prince not only showed a massive power the Minister of Magic has over heads of government, but the fact that wizards force the human world to fall in line.

This is a weakness also tho since they're ignorant to humans and might not be proactive to a human revolt.

I have a hard time imagining the MoM doesn't also have an elite intelligence agency tho. This is a world which successfully cloaks themselves from outsiders while living amongst them, and literally wipe the minds of humans and act like catastrophes never happened. They even keep the U.K PM on point

They have just as good if not better of a chance of sneaking wizards high up in the CIA than the CIA does at compromising a wizard

I have a hard time believing they know much about the Muggle World when they have Arthur Weasley leading the charge into their affairs.

He came off like a total buffoon asking Harry about how telephones work and in the books from what I remember

I tried to mention that weakness in my other post lol. Both would be seriously ignorant of the other, but wizards actually have assets to give them the advantage. It's easier to get an understanding with someone like Hermione or Harry running s*** than it is to for a human to have to first learn what a wizard is, and then the entire idea and history of what they do. They've been dominant for centuries.

Wizards wipe the minds of muggles who see too much every day. They have whole departments for correcting their exposure
