Domination due to lack of competition at the international stage (slowly but surely changing with the dominance of Embiid, Giannis, Jokic and Doncic over recent years)
The NBA encourages players to express themselves in more ways than most other leagues ever could. Only the NFL somewhat comes close in that regard, but due to them wearing heavy equipment and the size of their squads, the players are less recognizable.
