Yeah I know he did.... how many protest songs can you name? I can think of like 6 that mattered and they were all half a century ago
I'm just saying his original "protest song" thing evolved into a much more all encompassing search for truth is your lyrics and the spirit of that goes way deeper with its influence than everyone that makes topical protest songs. What's Going On etc were borne of this energy.

Funny seeing a lot of you riding so hard for mj trying to be down yet 15 years ago he was getting clowned and joked on by black people everywhere. But he’s passed so I guess it’s just a form of respect.
