people that denigrate pop music in general or think it's all corporate bullshit that left a bad mark on music as a whole would probably prefer Bob Dylan's influence over MJ. they might call him just some guy who was uber famous for singing and dancing catching songs vs. Dylan giving more of a serious literary-like sensibility to the art form of popular music and contributing to the civil rights movement

I can guarantee you’ll find more people who know who MJ is than people who know who Bob Dylan is WORLDWIDE.
