Me and my friend are debating who’s the closest act to be the next MJ of this generation. I choose Abel.
No one @op
Now can we stop this f***ing debate? Because none of these niggas can come close to the impact or the quality he put into his art.
CB had the choreography down but his music was never MJ quality and was always just super trendy for whenever it came out. Wasn’t doing anything special on his records. Also wanted to larp as a little gangster. Weeknd can do a good impression and even capture the vibe music-wise, but he’s not a dancer and just has his own thing going generally. Funnily enough in the early 2000s it seemed like JT could’ve been the next MJ, but that obv is an amusing thing to say by now. Don’t think we need a new MJ, his impact being felt and inspiring a bunch of new artists is good enough.
None of them have the complete package to be MJ or the money to buy the Beatles' catalogue
CB can dance and Weeknd can do at most a tribute to MJs HIStory/Dangerous type darker music but he isn't making world peace anthems

Both of them are past their peaks and neither were ever even close to MJ
Out of these 2 CB has the best argument because he has a slight edge on Abel with his performances and vocals but that's debatable on who is arguing
If you want to closest popstars both their names are Justin and only one is still focused on music while the older is washed
Drake is the closest to MJ
Drake is Drake atp. We need to ask who's going to be the next him
