I think it's because there always has to be a balance to life, like how people don't realize the value to life or how much they love their partner until it's about to be taken away etc

creativity is used to express emotions and only those with abnormal/intense emotions are motivated enough to make art

truth is, many of them are likely just depressed or have their own issues like many others but their interest lies in art.

many people who tend to have issues turn to art or whatever else to relieve themself sometimes it can be good other times pure garbage but it’s all subjective
