recently found out about his Pumped Up Kicks remix & decided that’s too many indie white people songs to be a coincidence (plus Bad Blood)
the original had a Somebody I Used to Know sample
to gain traction
not sure why that's surprising, tons of people did this late 2000s to early 2010s, it was a trope
Lock thread before they arrive, they won't like this one.
Fighting ghosts
How do you think he got that Pulitzer. White people give those out. I respect the grind.
Now talk about his 108 rap features he did in the same 3 year span
That's not how it works. That fanbase criticize other rappers for doing pop songs, so we got to use the same logic with their guy.
He was doing s*** like this and dropping classic albums in the same time period so its all good
Why did I think Pumped Up Kicks came out way before Kendrick got on the scene
Real s***, Pumped Up cane out in September 2010 which somehow feels like Eons before spring/summer 11 when Kendrick’s name was really starting to get out there
he was on everything not just white people
including features
the gkmc to tpab period when he was touring the world is when he became one of raps biggest collaborators at the time
anyways wayne and kanye influence

Yeah it was a normal thing to do for everyone at the time
Female rappers are still doing pop features a ton but on the male side the mid level guys arent as crossover friendly and the biggest rappers are too cool to do it.
Nvm I confused this era, he just was selling out tryna get white folks attention I guess idk why they was fw GKMC/TPAB already
Till this day he switched up the whole god savior, censored himself at the superbowl and did a weird cashapp ad. He greedy just like any other rapper 🤷🏽♂️
