There’s still young producers trying to restore that feeling, and lo-fi beats-ism is still prominent and honestly peaking probably last year-now. There’s Kaelin Ellis, the Kount, Elaquent. Tons of artists still bubbling
Clams released a short beat tape in November, but that lack of traction is one of the reasons many producers have eased off it.
Honestly I wasn’t feeling the tape that much. Not bad but it didn’t knock like his old s***. I see what you’re saying tho

A lot of producers off the Jakarta records label are bringing a good energy, keeping a fresh sound with newer kits.

There’s so much out there
Kaelin is one of my favourites out now though and he’s not very Lofi either. Similar grooves and synth work as early fly lo

There's a lot out there still but the answer is that it's been white washed, gentrified, and watered down

Lofi type beats
because hip hop used to be treated as an art for the most part, now it's just a businness

I’ve been meaning to tap into his streams thank you
Ive been thinking about doing one for a long minute now tbh
Its a fun way to just let yourself as a producer to go maximize your talents & exercise them

Do it bro. Go crazy
Early to almost mid 2010s almost every major producer had at least one beat tape or instrumental album out there. Mainstream & underground.
From the TDE producers, Jahlil, Statik Selektah, Zaytoven, Clams Casino, Apollo Brown, Alchemist etc.
And then theres of course artists that do it almost exclusively such as Tokimonsta & xxyyxx etc.
Some of my fav projects of 2010s come from instrumental album based musicians in Rap & Electronic such as Ta Ku, Tokimonsta, Clams Casino, XXYYXX, Mount Kimbie & a few others
S*** can be just as impactful as traditional songs frfr
