Despite everything this is it. I think this was the moment that Ye stopped the experimental/progressive wave he started in 2008 and became obsessed with wanting to be back on the radio after this didn’t work

I feel like he was trying to comeback from the negative feedback the hiphop heads/pop crowd gave about Yeezus which is what TLOP was. This is also why he scrapped Yandhi

It’s way too grandiose, he tried to do way too much with the production, it’s like 5 songs in one.

It being nearly 6 minutes doesn’t help either along with half the song being muted on radio

Overall i think he should’ve kept it simple and done a quick 3 minute banger but he tried to turn it into a trap MBDTF song
