Would you say this method has been the most lucrative for you in terms of gaining fans and how long would you say it took before you started seeing significant results? I’ve thought about doing this myself but as an artist, I also hate the idea but in this current climate, you almost feel like you don’t have much of a choice.
S/o tobi lou
yep one of the goats of this. also Carter Ace dropped a song a week for like 15 weeks and waterfalled the whole time

i broke it down in the video or i at least tried w the #s i was given to work with, i figured that about 10% of the streams the new song gets, the added songs will get. thats after trying to remove plays that came from playlists or other sources. not a perfect science tho.
that was about 2500 streams on one of my songs, which is cool. ill take that for sure

Yeah it's looking like this might starting catching on more in the streaming era. Not mad at it tho, keeps attention and raises engagements on a body of work.
Thinking about it, frank was kinda doing something like this with the 2019 singles

interesting to see it in country. i figure itll be a thing in pop soon if it isnt already
perfect example is the yachty waterfall you used
when Strike was first released as a single, it had two songs from his last album "Lets Start Here"
i thought that was clever because the black seminole was gaining major traction
but now we're four singles in and each is attached to the previous released tracks as an EP
unsuspecting fans are expecting new music and old fans are getting annoyed with rereleases of the same song
not to mention, that s*** f***s up my music library lmao
this. i like drive me crazy and strike but that’s about where i stopped, i personally find this waterfalling release thing stupid as hell
this. i like drive me crazy and strike but that’s about where i stopped, i personally find this waterfalling release thing stupid as hell
it's like the new "throw s*** at the wall until something sticks" method that used to happen with singles when artists couldnt get official release dates

what streaming service do u use? just curious hah i think this s*** is way worse for apple music users
Not a fan whatsoever
In fact it’s kinda sad when a bigger artist does it cuz it means they’re just hoping for a hit

on spotify they link the versions of the songs so u only save one, on AM at least they used to actually have different tracks for each time u waterfalled it
so if my friend saved my last 4 singles and i waterfalled them, he would have 4 copies of my first single in his library

Yeah like Vegyn just dropped a new song and he put his last single as track 2 and if he saved it id have two copies. F*** that. im already coming up on 100k songs which is the max, ive had to resort to deleting albums and just saving one track like a reference point
