Growing up a god fearing Christian definitely molded me into a great f***ing kid
Wasn't until edgy atheists started getting into my ear around age 14 that I started stealing, drinking, doing d****, having sex, disobeying my parents, etc

AriI’ve never understood why a large portion of the community follows something that was forced upon them by slave owners and has been used as justification for the murder rape and enslavement of our people.
Also the Bible has been edited so many times why would one trust what it’s sayingNot religious but in principle think your argument isn’t necessarily as logical as it seems.
If you have read the word and believe in it, also possibly having confirmatory spiritual experiences along the way, the fact that current or previous oppressors may have corrupted the teachings and used them in a negative way doesn’t need to impact your own beliefs.
The extension of the logic, to me, could be “why is anyone christian when the Pope protects pedophiles” / “why is anyone muslim when the Quran is being used (by some) to justify ISIS” etc
