so I’ve been rediscovering my faith and getting back in touch with my traditions in the last year or so and something that has been bothering me is that while I believe in the god of Islam/Christianity (Jehovah/Allah), I can’t say I believe or agree with every single thing in either book. I don’t believe in the divinity of Jesus but I believe in Jehovah or god the father, and I believe in most of the teachings of the prophet Muhammad pbuh so I guess I’m closer to being a Muslim then I am a Christian but there’s a few things in Islam I don’t perfectly align with as well. I was atheist for a long ass time too until recently because of some struggles with my
    Faith.

Anybody else who has gone through similar struggles who can give me some advice?

Because God is the truth and those books come from god. Thus making everything else wrong.

That's the simplest explanation I can give you.

That's the nature of any religion that encourages evangelizing.

And I do believe that they come from god, I can see that when I read passages in both but Id be lying if I said I believe they’ve no contradictions or questionable doctrine.

I feel like I believe in god and Jesus and Muhammad but I can’t say I’m fully aligned with either religion rn

It's okay to have doubts, but to actively disagree with certain points means to simply not have faith.

The Bible is a random assortment of stories pretty much untraceable in origin. (Bible meaning the present day order and presentation in form of Christianity’s scriptures).

It’s been altered, change, and in unison has never been codified and kept the same from beginning to end

Copies from the Quran from the 8th century have been DNA tested and the book has been confirmed by experts to have been exactly the same since it’s inception to the present

Just on that surface level, islam has a higher merit

Have you ever even read the Quran?

Quran is more random than Bible. Them Torah Israelite mythologies aren't even written in the right order.

Did you know that Uthman burnt all the Qur'ans during his time as Khalifa and just kept 1 copy. This means there were different versions. You should read some Islam history.

So since you read it you can tell the order of the stories are random af 😂

Christians act as if the Bible is the truth.
Muslims act as if the Quran is the truth.
The enlightened know your bible should be The 48 Laws of Power.

Humans are fallen by default, religions don’t promote moral superiority but our egos do.

Stop talking out of your ass. versions varied between dialects, it was basically exchanging words for synonyms based on regions.

Imagine trying to say the Quran has been more randomized than the Bible because of simple propaganda you’ve read on the internet via a baseless source

You don't get to decide whether or not you align with everything in the Qu'ran. The holy book explicitly says, as a Muslim, you must follow Allah and his Messenger, and in doing so submitting to his message.

That's not the answer you wanna hear but that's why.

^^ Op this is your answer.

You’re dealing with two religions who believe in life after death and the only way to be saved is to subscribe to their beliefs or risk being eternally damned. Of course Christians and Muslims are going to passionately advocate for their books when the stakes are that high. As a muslim I have no problem advocating for the Quran and the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) but I also understand why my Christian brothers and sisters do the same with their faith. Personally I think it’s more productive to talk about the merits of one’s faith instead of attacking someone else’s religion to try and make yours look better. Time and place for everything.

Sorry in advance if this offends anyone but the Bible is clearly the superior religious text. KTT definitely not the kinda place for this discussion tho

  • Sep 1, 2022

Their books are literally morality books and they want people to subscribe to their own. So moral superiority kinda goes without saying (as stupid as it is)

And if you knew anything about Arabic you’d realize different dialects exist between Bilad Al Sham and Khaleej and since the Quran was verbally revealed and dictated to various companions and people of various tribes and dialects throughout the region — there was bound to be different versions due to
    Language
not meaning. There’s a reason why Quranic Arabic is a thing.

It was decided there would be one codified version of the Quran by the caliph so the religion could be more universally spread and taught. No meanings or the content of stories were changed.
