I never understood why people think this?
It doesn't make sense for a unimaginable thing (God) to either have a offspring.
And if Jesus was God/Son of God why would he have to die to forgive our sins? why wouldn't our sins just be forgiven by simply asking.
In my eyes Jesus was definitely real but instead of being a deity he was simply a prophet

Because christians believe the bible is accurate and reliable and thinking Jesus is God is biblical.

For the wages of sin is death, I believe the book says. Even in the old testament, they made animal sacrifices every year to atone for them. So apparently Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice, meaning there won't be any need for those sacrifices that were required
