Am I just getting f***ed over?
A year ago I had the radiator replaced and they broke my window and took off my sun visor.
A week ago I got my shocks and control arms replaced and after that my engine splash cover came loose and started scraping up the road on the freeway.

Go in for a strange noise under the hood and leave with a missing steering wheel, no hubcaps and a torn off roof.
so glad I got a Honda fit and not whatever the Nissan equivalent was earlier this year. I remember reading about CVTs and was like "nah this ain't it"

Are you saying this is somehow a property of capitalism?

Profit maximizing at the expense of others? Yup
yeah pretty much, the guy who fixed up my car last week was supposed to be a trusted mechanic/friend of a friend but still messed with it
before my pops passed he was friends with a mechanic and he would always fix it up right
Profit maximizing at the expense of others? Yup
Dont think this maximises profit though, if anything OP will stop giving them business
Also this isnt a thing with all mechanics, u gotta go somewhere with someone u trust and feel comfortable holding accountable
That said, those with lower capital may have to use worse mechanics which leave problems, leaving them with even less capital..
