It depends on the situation. Every person and relationship dynamic is different and creates different environments potentially conducive to cheating.

I always told myself I wouldn't cheat, but I fell in love with somebody else during a period when I was really unhappy in my other relationship. First it was an emotional affair that went on for months and eventually I was too locked into both situations to settle on anything and I ended up alone, which was probably for the best, looking back on it.

Cheating sucks, FWIW. It causes a lot of anxiety and unnecessary rifts between people and I was cowardly for putting anybody into that situation. It stemmed from being indecisive and dishonest and that's never the person I want to be. So, no, don't do it. Be honest and make the changes you need to make instead of making other people's lives worse.
