The real reason for this thread is men are raised SEVERELY touch deprived ESPECIALLY in cultures that prioritize individualism over commune based society (coughhappyjuly4thcough)

A lot of other countries we make fun of for how touchy feely they are with each other and how mens be kissing mens on the cheeks and all these types of things that American men we just dont do.

We’re socialized to think any intimacy or intimate touch is only sexual, and biologically touch makes us as humans feel good, and we want to feel good. So we end up craving for it like a goddamn fiend. It’s not the s***we chasing but the notion of being wanted because as men raised in this country, most niggas dont even feel comfortable hugging they homeboys.

But the thing is that’s a flawed concept cause biologically, humans are meant to be social within communities.

So this notion of being wanted leads to genders settling very quickly for toxic and unhappy situations that in turn leads them to stray and cheat. Whereas a well adjusted person that gets their touch/feeling wanted needs validated from their friends and community around them, know this individual with genitals and wants to bump em wit yours isnt gonna be the only factor that’ll make you stay because you feel thats the only kinda touch/validation that you’ll get, so you’d cut them off faster before you’d go into “Donell Jones” mode.
