    personally irl i love talking to women about Rap & RnB, been doing it since high school

    you'd be surprise what women like & listen too & what they actually care about

    would blow some of these forum & internet niggas minds b lol the ones that think they're so poppin & so "in the know"

    Because female rappers are genuinely garbage esp in the rap genre. I don’t see females being disrespected very much at all in a genre such as r&b. That’s not to say women can’t rap - it’s just that what’s being pushed out to the mainstream (Cardi B, Nicki, Meg, etc) is utter s***. At least for me, it comes down to quality of music. I love female vocals in literally every other genre

    Because female rappers are genuinely garbage esp in the rap genre. I don’t see females being disrespected very much at all in a genre such as r&b. That’s not to say women can’t rap - it’s just that what’s being pushed out to the mainstream (Cardi B, Nicki, Meg, etc) is utter s***. At least for me, it comes down to quality of music. I love female vocals in literally every other genre

    And the actual women who can rap like Young MA aren’t promoted to mainstream at all because they usually aren’t girly enough

    I think it's mostly because that "trash" is what gets pushed the most.

    Like I would rather listen to Kelsey Lu and Kilo Kish than Megan Thee Stallion - but which one has more mainstream appeal?

    It's a shame because in a perfect world we would see a Kilo Kish, Noname, and/or Kari Faux topping the charts often

    A lot of women like music based on how the artist looks rather than the music content. That’s why s*** like one direction and boy bands are popular. If a girl singer is attractive most dudes won’t actually listen to their music if it is bad

    you can say the same about the "average/general" dudes.

    this is just what people that dont care or dont think too deeply about music are to a degree. it isn't exclusive to women.

    It's unfortunate because the female rappers who really do be snapping hardly ever get their shine unless they start getting sexual with their videos, outfits, etc.

    Like by all means they can be sexual, but I feel like when that characteristic is pushed the most I lose interest because I look at it as some sort of lazy ass s***sells marketing.

    Women in rap should be able to get popular without having to be propped up as just a piece of meat.

    I usually don't care what girls listen to because I know 1. my taste is all over the place so I don't expect ppl to understand and 2. girls usually just listen to their s*** and there's nothing I can do to change it.

    I realize I may listen to 'masculine' or ignorant s*** and I honestly don't expect people to get it, if they do though, much love

    The only fans I hate are the zoomers.

    They ruined this section

    For example ariana fans reporting 69s music video because they’re afraid he’ll block Ariana from #1. 69 fans aren’t doing this we’re just streaming the music

    I think male fans can be pretty aggressive in trying to put down artists too.
