Cap
You could've left the r&b songs off IYRTITL and it still would have been received well (even tho Jungle is my favorite Drake song).
Hell, you could have cut the second half of scorpion and I think most people would have liked it about the same
Drake had a weird uncharacteristically sleepy delivery all over that scary hours s*** fam. If he even rapped with the energy he had on Daylight for the whole EP people would have liked it a lot more.
Her Loss out now
Same point stands, people act like he didn’t just drop that either
I think it would’ve been received better if it wasn’t ultimately packaged as a second disc to FATD. It should show up separately in his discography and not just be an addendum. I think that’s the only time in Drake’s career that he’s made an artistic decision that was clearly geared at adding album sales
i agree but i also loved FATD so IMO you can throw that entire album into this point you're making. FATD > SH3 in my personal opinion, and I love SH3
No one said it’s groundbreaking. We enjoy it cause it’s one of our favorite styles of Drake music, consistently for an entire project, and very needed departure from his fan-service type projects.
Yes they were. Half of this site became House Music connoisseurs overnight when Drake did it.
the fake house music connoisseurs were all hating on hnvm for being too basic for a house record
cause the reality is they didnt actually want that concise drake rap project they talked about, it was just an important talking point when criticizing his other albums
when he gave it to them, they chose to ignore it and move the goalposts again. exactly why he needs to do what he said and make music for the people that actually like his music, not try and win over the haters
I’ve been saying this for years atp. This is nothing but facts
Maybe because he ain’t call it Scary Hours 3 and b****es out and made it a deluxe version of his garbage album? Maybe also because it ain’t that great bar wise.

I don't even think it was geared toward sales.
It was more so a correction to FATD.
FATD wasn't being received well out of the gate, so he had to course correct.
Should’ve been a separate EP and not attached to FATD. That was lame.
S*** is fire though if you a fan, if not, I can see it being a bit stale to listen to
Red Button also sounds wack to me after the beef
SH3 has quality rapping on every song and good production.
The narrative has been that Drake's fallen off, and I can admit that he hasn't been as consistent as he used to be. But, SH3 displayed that he can still rap with the best of them - when he wants to.
People don't really care about bars, they just say they do.
