userI personally wouldn’t view it as a big deal but I think the logic here (as actually correctly assumed by one of the ladies who replied to this) is that everyone else wife made their dude a plate and now he the one who look like his wife don’t respect him lmao

Not some s*** that she has to do but it would make you feel warm inside that she wants to do it on her own. Like if a dude makes a slick comment to your girl and you respond aggressively as opposed to putting your head down and walking away…you can’t blame someone for being non confrontational but it would have her looking at you like a piece of meat the rest of the night if you handled it on some assertive s*** lol
I could see your pov. In my experience with this, my friend will be sitting there and yell at his wife to make his plate or if she gets near he’ll tell her to make it for him. And he won’t even second guess getting it himself.
I usually just get up with my girl and my our own plates. Or if I need something I’ll get up and get it or offer if my girl wants something else. And vice versa. It seems disrespectful to me just sit there and bother your partner just cause you too lazy or entitled. But it guess it just depends on the situation.
