Some of it def shows its age, but I personally like the sound of old Eminem records. His lyrics honestly might even be more resonant now than they were in 1999-2002 too, s*** like "Role Model", "Stan", "Rock Bottom", all hit different in this cancel culture era and f***ed up economy.
I tend to give Em a lot of s*** because some people are delusional with how they perceive the guy, but he's a total legend at the end of the day man. Those classic records still hit hard when I listen to them.
Dig what OP is going for but he smoking crack if he thinks em’s sound hasn’t aged poorly
because it has
idk, "Stan" right now is probably more relevant than it ever has been. It's part of the lexicon now too.
"Till I Collapse" is a workout playlist staple.
"Lose Yourself" is still an unreal song
Op if you wanna enjoy eminem go ahead but dont try to get everybody to agree with you so it validates your coolness
this song was playing in my girlfriends parents car one time and I couldn't stop cringing to save my life

It depends on the era tbh. SSLP and MMLP imo have aged solid. TES has a few iffy moments, and after that...I'd rather pretend Em just retired after that haha
I’ll always have a soft spot for Em he has had some great flows, just edgy subject matter

I don't mind this song tbh. Nate Dogg is awesome on this

Funny enough my favorite of those three is TES, goes to show how divisive em’s legacy is

I liked his edgy lyrics when they were coupled with legitimate commentary. Once he just devolved into saying blatantly stupid things for cheap shock value, as opposed to weightier content like "Role Model" and stuff, is when I tuned out.
nobody trying to hear a white boy rap about raping and killing his girl or talk ill of his stupid crack w**** mother. we good on that my g.

TES has the best beats but some of his dumbest moments are on that album lol. Hailie's Song and Drips coulda stayed in the lab

I don't really enjoy a lot of his edgy content, but I think a lot of people miss the really good satire of his old stuff. Guilty Conscience, Stan, Who Knew, Role Model, Remember Me?, The Real Slim Shady, Criminal, all have genuinely excellent subject matter, just delivered in a transgressive way
till i collapse still in workout playlists everywhere
exactly. like, em is overrated, but dude is also a beast too. till i collapse is a seminal workout playlist joint

imagine having the mic chat on during the hellhole that was the xbox 360 online community

I got the game a year late and was like 12 years old when I started playing.
It was worse than watching all my parents uncomfortable arguments on a marathon
SSLP is his only good album
MMLP>SSLP. Better beats, better subject matter.
TES is great too. I don't like any of his stuff after that besides a few stray songs

mmlp was great these little s***s on ktt are too young to understand it's not cool to disrespect eminem. especially when you listen to dirty trash cans rappers like young nudy nba lil baby etc.
