I only see hate for it on the social medias tbh

Go outside and ask someone if he liked TLOP. I guarantee people will say yes. It's one of his most accessible album

Pablo has some very good HIGHS on the album, which is why some people love it. to me, TLOP was the first time he really let outsider thoughts creep in and affect his creative process. he had a SOLID 10 song tracklist. Then he released it to Twitter, and everyone cried that it was too short and they waited so long since Yeezus, so 10 songs was a disappointment. And he 100% read comments and heard feedback and he changed the album from there. Some of the additions he made were just ridiculous/fillers (e.g. Low Lights, Facts, etc.), Silver Surfer was just him responding to people that didn't like Waves as the title.... some of the new tracks are definitely nice, and I would have missed them, but part of me will always wish he stuck to his original intentions and gave the album to us how he intended to!

KTT2 in 2020 : TLOP better than Graduation

Grad is only held in such high regard because it was the last of the dropout bear albums and its old

All of the songs have substance. Those are just the lyrical ones. Every single song has substance.

TLOP is obviously when he started second guessing himself that’s why the album is not cohesive at all

and no it’s not an album broken up into different chapters or any other lie people tell themselves

It had good songs yes but overall it was a janky album

  • The OG Pablo wasn't that great

The final version of Pablo that came out has aged pretty well over time. If Kanye had retired after Pablo, I would've totally been ok with that. It's an album that has elements from all his previous work. Like a full circle type of thing.

substance =/= wordplay. the opposite actually

Kanye's creative decline 100% begins with TLOP. He doesn't sound like himself on these records. He's barely on some tracks, and even when he sounds great you can tell he's not confident. The most confident track is Saint Pablo and that was added months later. You can tell he had reflected on many things bothering him during the TLOP recording sessions by this point. It's still an incredible album with a great message, but it is not Yeezus, MBDTF, 808s, Grad, LR or CD

    TLOP was lowkey uninspired

It was a really good way to end this first overall arc of Kanye in that it was a victory lap with a little bit of everything Kanye had been doing up until that point but in regards to it being as groundbreaking as his past 6 solos it was nowhere near that

    his greatest album tho

His first and only album with absolutely nothing new to say or express.

And although I disagree with you, it can still be his greatest album despite it being uninspired. But you hit it on the nail it was definitely uninspired. Or maybe it was inspired by too many things at once to give it a sense of conciseness.
