Hamas didn’t exist in the 1940’s, and the reason the early Palestinian national movement rejected a two state solution is because it was a foreign decision made without respect to Palestinian self determination and did nothing but to establish the framework of apartheid between Palestinians and Zionists.

A two state solution isn’t feasible specifically because Israel is expansionist and views Arabs as subhumans.

You should read some of the proposals given to Palestinian leadership for a two state solution. They were a spit in the face to the diplomatic mission. Israeli controlled borders, no standing military, the retention of illegally occupied Israeli land, even more concessions, continued apartheid in Israel, special protections for Israelis in Palestine.

If you read even a word of these documents you’d entirely understand that the Palestinian cause was right to deny these disrespectful solutions. A two state solution should be equitable and productive. Nothing given to the Palestinian delegation was rightful
