This is six millennia of theological history. The people who lost their rightful homes in Israel aren’t the same people who are actively claiming the land belongs to them.

There are Palestinians who have directly traced the names of their lineage back a whole millennium. Nonjewish people and people whose ancestors that converted from Judaism have existed there at the same time, before, and after Hewish people. We are talking about the displacing of still-living people with intricate and deep ties to the land, culture, and society for the sake of a bunch of crackers claiming a theological right and citing ancestral connections to said land that they cannot express without the cruel disrespect they’ve displayed towards said land.

I’m not saying Jewish people don’t have a right to live in their homeland. I’m saying that the European phenomenon of Zionism is not partaking in any justified or moral or righteous effort in expressing the Jewish presence in Palestine. They are colonialist, apartheid-forming, undemocratic, and ethnosupremacist

You are basically saying that because jewish people were displaced 2000 years ago they have since lost their right to the land.

Then there is some pretty racist statements refering to jewish people as crackers and further condescending them for having lived in europe after being displaced. You are definitely being racist here, and this just further highlights why this conflict continues to rage on, pure ignorance and intolerance from both sides.

To address the first part of the argument, it doesnt seem to matter how much time has past, since a group is displaced or an area colonized, in other instances, so why should it matter here?

For example, if i was to say, "native americans, you gave up your right to these lands since you were colonized fair and square hundreds of years ago, stop whining and accept your place"

This just wouldnt fly, but it is essentially what you are saying, except that native americans were not forced from their traditional territories to the same extend as jewish people..though they have definitely been displaced in some cases.

So i just dont buy this argument as a good reason why jewish people dont have a claim to israel

We just dont agree here, i understand your argument but i dont agree with it.

I dont think jews have a right to genocide palestinians however, and there is plenty wrong with their tactics.

Therein lies the problem. These groups need to figure out a way to live in peace on the same lands. I dont know the solution, but a two state system seems necessary

Which is, once again, the exact thing that the current society and government of Israel don’t want. Any Palestinian declination on a proposal was on the grounds that the terms specifically detracted from the nature of a two state solution in favor of Israeli control over the territory

My understanding of the conflict is that palestine would not settle for two states because they refused to recognize israel and wanted the the whole area in the early days.

Now things have definitely changed and israel seems to be the one unwilling to compromise

And I think both of those times in history shows the reality of Israel in its intent to establish an ethnosupremacy in the land. Palestine was always polyethnic and Israel was always not. There’s really no time where Palestine was forcing their hand in the larger scheme of geopolitics. It’s been a continuous and encroaching violation of self determination, since the 1912 Balfour Declaration
