yeah i’m dark brown and have another cousin that’s dark brown and we come from a family of light browns and i found my dark brown cousin putting me down for being more dark than him and other colourist s*** when we were the same complexion. Another example was i was in the car with a half white half indian guy and he starts shouting the n word with the hard r as a “joke” to feel more accepted by the white people that found that s*** funny in the car since there’s prob aren’t many half/half out there they prob choose to identify with one side more than other and over composite to fit in with people of that side.
