Filming digital with cine lenses ie grabbing cine lens attachments for your iphone or cameras brings that authentic look to your images.
The glass is where the bread is butter. The stock (film, digital, iphone etc.) is like the lineage but only you the story teller makes a great story.
Yeah this is true but most films nowadays are filmed digitally, but with incredible cameras.

Because phones have crappy CMOS sensors that are cheaply made, that's why you get wobbly video, crappy digital zoom, and not a real optical look at all. They aren't made to be produce super HQ films.
Professional cameras are $1000s+ for a reason
Aug 8, 2021Film cameras have better dynamic range . How much color , and contrast that’s translated in the camera . Also ISO, f stop shutter speed . You are comparing a $1000 phone to a camera dedicated for film and video that cost 1000$ to even $50k
