Back when I was in High School our teachers would confiscate our phones if we were bullshitting to much on it but would return it back to us after class was over and warned us that next time we would be written a disciplinary referral and that our phones would be sent either to the principal or vice principal and that our parents would have to arrive at the school to retrieve it

Graduated 2017. We were always told legally they were allowed to take our phones and i went to a public school. Maybe it was a lie, no idea so pardon my ignorance. Either way pepper spraying a teacher is insane
